Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth situated at New Delhi is a self-ruling association under Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India. This is one among numerous other head National Institutes of Ayush working under the supervision of Ministry of Ayush.

Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth was set up on eleventh Feb., 1988 with the goal of advancing learning and routine with regards to Ayurveda. It began its working in 1991.

So as to save and to organize the exchange of the learning of ayurveda from prominent researchers to youthful applicants, Vidyapeeth started the Member of RAV ( MRAV) course. This course is an epitome of Guru Shishya ( Gurukula ) model of realizing which won in old India. As we know, a large portion of the Ayurveda legacy accessible to us today (Available old style writings of Ayurveda viz. Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya and so on.) is accepted to be the result of such Gurukula training. This sort of engaged and individualized instruction is discovered ailing in the cutting edge Ayurveda establishments where spotlight is on conventional preparing and not on individualized preparing.

So as to protect and proliferate the uncommon clinical aptitudes (analysis, the board and definitions) controlled by rehearsing Vaidyas, Vidyapeeth began a one-year course 'Declaration of RAV' in 1999. The rehearsing Vaidyas are influenced to show their specific strategies/abilities of treatment to youthful applicants of Ayurveda with the goal that the persistently created aptitudes and systems of Ayurveda might be moved to the more youthful age.
