The College was conceded the self-governance status in September 2005, associated to Bengaluru University. Mount Carmel College was re-certify with an A+ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2006. The College offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses in Commerce and Management, Humanities, Science, Home Science.
