Central Public School was established in 1994 in a rented building at Sarfuddinpur, Near P.W.D. Office, Azamgarh. At present the School is functioning in a calm and quiet atmosphere in its sprawling campus of more than two acres having its own building at Jafarpur, Near Kanshiram Awas Colony, Azamgarh, which is four kilometers away from the Azamgarh City having students’ strength of over two thousand C.P.S. has carved out a proud place amongst the premier schools of the District.

The School has well equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Maths laboratories. It also has a Geography, Social Science and two Computer Laboratories. The School Library has a good collection of books on various subjects alongwith magazines, newspapers and educational journals, etc. The School has its own electric and water supply system.
