Markaz Training College was started in 1995 under Markazutharbiyathil Islamiyya, a charitable trust established in 1984, headed by janab Panakad Hyderali Shihab Thangal and Janab P.K Hamzakutty Musliyar Adrissery. College is affiliated to Calicut University and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).It is a well equipped College of teacher education to provide quality teacher education to all classes of people, to attract and encourage talented and dedicated students towards teaching profession. The College is situated at Athavanad Village between Kuttippuram and Valanchery in Malappuram District. and  highly fascinating for its natural beauty and marvellous surroundings.

Admission Process of Markaz B.Ed. Training College  

B.A/B.Sc Degree of the University of Calicut or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto under 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in Part � I+II+III together /50% Marks for Part-III alone or Master Degree in the same subject with minimum 50% marks or 10+2+5 pattern for Integrated M.Sc Course or 10+2+3+2 pattern for M.Com. However 10+2+3 Pattern is not insisted for B.A/B.Sc Degree holders under liberalized scheme of the University of Calicut.

Bachelor�s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks are eligible for admission to the programme.

Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other Universities outside Kerala should submit Equivalency Certificate stating that their qualifying examination is recognized by the Calicut University, for seeking admission to B.Ed Degree course in a particular optional subject, along with their application.

Double or Triple main candidates or candidates who passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized Courses are also eligible for admission. However, they have to submit copy of the Equivalency Certificate along with their application.

Academic eligibility should be satisfied as on the last date for submission of application.

The minimum requirement of marks for admission to B.Ed Courses with 50% marks in Part I+II+III together/50% Marks for Part �III along in Bachelor�s Degree [Science /Arts Subjects] or 50% marks in Post Graduation for Commerce/Computer Science options in the concerned discipline (No rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is permitted.)

The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has provided a hostel facility for the girl's students. It is situated very near to the college.

The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students as follows: Psychology Lab:- Psychology being the most important part of the B.Ed. Curriculum. The college has provided a well-equipped and organized psychology lab, aimed for the better development of each teacher-student. Science Lab:- The science lab of the college provides facilities for experiments for school-level students.

College provides internship. stipend in the last year that is house surgeoncy year is 5000 rs per month, placements are not there in our course. internship is completed after working for 365 days.
