Propelled by Lord Shree Swaminarayan's message, given in Shikshapatri, "To advance and spread Sadvidya the genuine instruction in type of the awesome language Sanskrit on the planet Earth", H. H. Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami planted the seeds of the first ever Swaminarayan Gurukul at Rajkot in 1948.
The accomplishment of re-living the old profound and virtues kept on spreading in type of numerous different Gurukuls incorporating two in Ahmedabad; one at Memnagar, and a different universe class grounds at Chharodi known as Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam (SGVP).
With the favors of Pujyapad Shree Jogi Swami, the President of SGVP, H. H. Sadguru Shastri Shri Madhavapriyadasji Swami and the CEO, H. H. Sadguru Purani Shri Balkrishnadasji Swami extended the skylines by setting up 'Darshanam' Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (DSM) at SGVP in 1999. The DSM, in its working range of over thirteen years has developed into a reverberating achievement and will currently be known as 'Darshanam' Sanskrit Sansthanam (DSS) regulated under Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust, SGVP.
