The All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS] was designed to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspects of health and wellness program throughout India. AIIMS are a group of autonomous public medical institutes that have been declared by an Act of Parliament 1956 as “Institute of National Importance”. AIIMS Mangalagiri is one of the AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country. In 2018, AIIMS, Mangalagiri started functioning from a newly constructed, albeit temporary campus at Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada. In March 2019 OPD services was started in the Permanent campus at Mangalagiri, Guntur. Therafter AIIMS gradually moved into its designated campus as newly constructed .During the Lockdown during COVID19 pandemic, OPD services were supplemented with eParamarsh initiative for doorstep sample collection. For COVID19 positive pateints limted IPD services started during 2020. In early part of 2021 limited IPD services for other patients have started. The 2018 and 2019 MBBS batch of 50 students each started their first year in the temporary campus at Vijayawada. The 2020 batch of 125 MBBS students have started their academics in Mangalagiri from day 1.

Library : The college consists of a huge library with a large collection of books, magazines, and journals.
Laboratories : The college has fully equipped labs of nursing with sufficient space for a batch of 70 students. The laboratories include demonstrations on beds and articles to practice different Nursing procedures.
I.T Infrastructure : The college has well well-equipped Computer Lab with the latest Computers and printers and with a high-speed internet facility. We encourage students to learn more about technology as it helps them in their nursing careers.
Auditorium : The College also consists of a large Auditorium, a Multipurpose Hall, and a Common Room for various events and activities. The hall and auditorium are equipped with all the facilities needed to cater to the talent of students.
Classrooms : There are many classrooms with a sitting capacity of more than 70 students in each classroom. The rooms are spacious and airy so the students feel comfortable and can concentrate on their studies.
Girls Hostel : The College has the facilities of a separate girls' hostel with all the facilities near the College.
Sports : The college has sports facilities for all students.
Cafeteria : The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Medical/Hospital : The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room : The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

The candidates must satisfy AIIMS Mangalagiri M.B.B.S. eligibility criteria.
Then the candidates must appear and qualify for the NEET-UG examination.
The qualified candidates must apply and attend the counselling process.
The candidates must meet the AIIMS Mangalagiri NEET cutoff to be able to participate further in the AIIMS Mangalagiri admission process.
Seats will be allotted based on the performance of the candidate in the NEET-UG examination.
The candidates, who have been allotted a seat in AIIMS Mangalagiri for MBBS by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through centralised common counselling, should report at AIIMS Mangalagiri on or before the last date of reporting as per MCC guidelines.
Finally, document verification will be done followed by AIIMS Mangalagiri fee payment.
