Welcome to Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a special P. C. Mahalanobish establishment dedicated to the examination, instructing and utilization of measurements, normal sciences and sociologies. Established by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on seventeenth December, 1931, the establishment picked up the status of an Institution of National Importance by a demonstration of the Indian Parliament in 1959.
The Headquarters of ISI is situated in the northern edge of the city of Kolkata. Also, there are four focuses situated in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Tezpur. Research in Statistics and related orders is the essential movement of the Institute. Encouraging exercises are attempted for the most part in Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore. Workplaces of the Institute situated in a few different urban areas in India are essentially occupied with undertakings and consultancy in Statistical Quality Control and Operations Research'.
