J.J. College of Engineering and Technology (JJCET) was established in the academic year 1994-95. Now, JJCET has been administered by Sowdambikaa Group of Institutions from the academic year 2019-2020. The college is situated in Ammapettai village, 18 km from Tiruchirappalli abutting the National Highway (NH45) leading to Dindigul, in a sprawling area of more than 100 acres, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. JJCET has become one of the pioneering technical institutions in this part of the country in a very short span.JJCET offers 9 Undergraduate programmes in the disciplines of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology. , Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,  Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and  Mechanical Engineering.

LIBRARY

The Library has a rich collection of books on Engineering and Technology including Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.Besides, library also has a good collection of books in the areas of Humanities and Sciences. The library is fully Air-Conditioned.

TRANSPORT 

A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.The College runs 5 buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in the city. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.

HOSTEL

Menu is prepared to satisfy the taste of all students.Their stay in the hostel enables them to imbibe a different life style and involve in activities such as yoga, meditation, sports, music etc., suiting to their individual taste and preferences. AKT Polytechnic College gives equal importance to food. A large mess hall with a seating capacity of 1000 members can accommodate all students and staff at the same time.

OUR LABS

We are having the efficient and sophisticated Labs to train the students to get practical knowledge in their respective courses.Computer Engineer’s trained with real time project in either Hardware or Software level using the Project Lab.For Mechanical,Electrical and other departments utilize the Labs to deliver their skills as a project using their corresponding Laboratory. It helps the students to get the idea on their platform of their course.Here we are the dedicated staff and energetic Lab assistants to assist and motivate the students by Individual.The college hostel provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to the students and staff. It is hygienic and delicious food to taste.

OUR WORKSHOPS

We have a modern workshop facility which supports the teaching and research activities of the mechanical engineering department.The workshop imparts basic knowledge of various hand tools and machines and their usage in different sections of manufacturing.The workshop has dedicated staff and 4 workshop technicians. The workshop has enough work tables, Lathes, Turners, CNCs for carrying out various job work.In the welding shop we have instruments for Arc, gas and Spot welding while the foundry shop is having facilities for Sand Casting.The workshop is also equipped with all the measuring instruments and safety apparatus necessary for precise and safe working environment for manufacturing processes
