Yuveraj Dutta (P.G.) college, Lakhimpur Kheri,established in 1949 by Raja Yuveraj Dutta Singhji of Oel and Kaimaraha state, is the oldest and largest co-educational institution of higher education in Kheri District. Padam Bhushan Dr. Jaidev Singh, a doyen in the field of Indian Classical music as well as Indian Philosophy, was founder principal of our college. The college enjoyed the status of being the first and only centre of higher education between Bareilly and Lucknow for a long time. The college offers courses of regular studies in Arts, Science, Commerce and Teacher- Education both at Graduate and Post -Graduate level.The College is included under section 2(f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act 1956 and is affiliated to Lucknow University, Lucknow.The college is an aided institution and recieves maintenance grants from UP Govt. The college is proudly fulfilling its objectives of providing quality higher education at the most affordable fees to the youth of this educationally backward district so that they get enlightened and empowered. Under the stewardship of present principal, Prof. (Dr) Hemant Pal, the college has renewed its resolve to reach new heights in the areas of operational effeciency and academic excellence.

The Institute presently has more than 1576 English and Hindi nursing books in the library. The library houses books across 27 subjects and every year new editions of books are added to the library.
Girls Hostel
The College operates a fully furnished girls' hostel. The fully air-cooled hostel has furnished dormitories with study stations, almirahs, and beds providing adequate comfort to residents. The hostel has adequate washrooms fitted with geysers and is equipped with power back-up, RO water, refrigerator, and television. CCTV and security guards provide round the clock safety and security to the students.

The students are provided wholesome meals at subsidized rates in the canteen. The canteen is open for all members but has a separate seating arrangement for staff and students. A variety of snacks and meals are made available to the students.
