K.M.College of Pharmacy within the year, 1981 with the foresight to supply pharmacy education within the backward districts and develop an establishment of excellence in Pharmacy. The sheepskin in Pharmacy course was started in 1981 with the permission of the government. of Tamilnadu and Pharmacy Council of Bharat.Within four years the management was able to begin B.Pharmacy Course. The establishment is found at intervals a brief distance from the most road and therefore the same time, away from the mud and din of the urban town creating it semiconductive for tutorial pursuits.In 1985, the B.Pharm, degree course was related to the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. afterward, it came underneath The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. within the year 1990 M.Pharm Degree course was started with the branches of medical specialty, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. the school has been permissible to admit six students in every branch. afterward in 1997, 2 additional branches particularly, materia medica associate degreed Pharmacy observe were other with an enhanced intake of scholars for every branch.

An unitary spacious four floor building exclusively for nursing education provides conducive teaching – learning environment. The Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of nursing has well ventilated classroom with comfortable seating arrangements. Each classroom is equipped with Black Boards, OHPs and a public address system and LCD .The college has a specially designed centralized air conditioned auditorium with 500 seats equipped with audio, video and digital surrounding. A high technological air conditioned seminar hall is available with modern multimedia facilities can accommodate 250 members.

We have our own Parent Hospital with 1100 beds with all the specialties. It is functioning for the benefit of students and to cater the need of the local population .The clinical learning experience of students is offered at government head quarters hospital Madurai which comprised 200 bedded full fledged government hospital and Institute of Mental Health for Psychiatric Clinical experience.
