Tolani College of Commerce in Mumbai Admission 

Tolani College of Commerce was established in 1989 by Tolani Education Society to promote academic activities in the north-eastern suburbs of Mumbai. The University is permanently affiliated with the University of Mumbai and is recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission Act. This university is recognized as a junior college stream by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Tolani College of Commerce is one of the institutions offering business education in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai. Dr. Mr. N.P. Tolani, the founder of this institution, followed the ideals of his father, the late Shri Privadas. Trani was a great educator and philanthropist, choosing education as his field of activity and devoting himself to it. Dr. N.P. Torani received his master's and Ph.D. he got it. He graduated from Cornell University in the US with a major in agricultural economics. Dean Susan Henry presented him with a certificate recognizing him as one of Cornell University's most important benefactors. His generous support of his alma mater led to the creation of the Torani Senior Professorship in International Trade Policy in the School of Applied Economics and Management. Tolani College of Commerce has been granted linguistic minority (Sindhi) status by the Government of Maharashtra and the University of Mumbai. Therefore, students from Sindh will be given priority admission for 50% of the capacity. However, students from the reserve category and economically backward sections of society are also encouraged to apply for admission. Moreover, students from all strata of society irrespective of their caste, creed, community, religion or economic background are also admitted on the basis of merit. In addition to university-related academic programs, the university runs several related employment-oriented diploma and certificate programs.
