Maharashtra College of Arts Science and Commerce is managed by Khairul Islam education Society, Mumbai.This Society was based below the ready presidency of Dr.Rafiq Zakaria, a Veteran Parliamentarian, Writer, educationalist and Islamic Scholar. After the death of Dr.Rafiq Zakaria , Mrs.Fatima Zakaria, the eminent , educationalist and recipient of the Padmashri Award, has confiscate President-ship and below her leadership and dynamism, the institute is heading towards a much better tomorrow. There was no faculty within the thickly inhabited central a part of city stretching from Dhobi Talao to Parel. Students of this space, particularly women,faced difficulties in obtaining admission to schools, that were principally settled within the southern part of the town. The institution of this faculty in 1968 was the conclusion of a dream by unselfish and dedicated educationalist and welfare worker, Mr. soldier Mitha.
