JNN College of Engineering is marked by events that have made it synonymous with quality education. Established in 1980 by NES, the College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Government of Karnataka. JNNCE is a flagship Institute of the National Education Society (NES), established by freedom fighters and philanthropists like Sri. H. S. Rudrappa, Sri. S. V. Krishna Murthy Rao, Sri.S. R. Nagappa Setty and Sri. D. S. Dinakar and groomed by Sri Girimaji N Rajagopal, Sri D.R.Ratnakar among others – has, during 70 years of its existence, spread its wings in several disciplines of education through establishment of 35 educational institutions in the Malnad region of Karnataka state. It comprises of institutions in a wide range of disciplines such as Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Commerce, Humanities, Education, Law, Business Administration, Physical Education, Computer Application and Applied Sciences. The residential school at Konandur with ICSE syllabus and modern infrastructure is a testimony to the interest of the Society in developing educational infrastructure is rural areas. The latest ventures of the NES include Establishment of a Physical Education College, a Polytechnic College, Institute of Advanced Studies and CBSE High school with all modern infrastructure in Shivamogga. Admission Process of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering

KVG College of Engineering offers 4 years full-time B.E. course in 6 specializations.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Electronics/ Computer Science as the optional subject from a recognized board are eligible for admission to B.E. course.

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their score in KCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).KVGCE offers 2 years full-time M.Tech course in 6 specializations and 2-year full-time MBA course to the aspirants.

Applicants who hold a Bachelor Degree (BE/ B.Tech) are eligible to get admission into M.Tech, whereas those who hold a graduate degree in any discipline are considered eligible for admission to MBA course.

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in PGCET.

KVG College of Engineering offers Ph.D. program in 9 specializations. Applicants who have completed their UG/ PG in relevant discipline from a recognized university are considered eligible for admission to the Ph.D. course.

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their percentage obtained in UG/ PG courses and their performance in the interview round conducted by the college.

Library

The college library is housed in a large Room & Contains a good collection of books required by the students as well as Members of various faculties: a large number of books, Text Books, Reference Books, and Books for General reading are being added to the Library every year.

I.T Infrastructure

The college has a Computer Lab which forms part of the Commerce and Management Department is well equipped with computers to bridge the gap between theory and practice in business studies.

Boys Hostel

The college hostel is clean and comfortable and each room is provided with adequate facilities for stay and study. It has a visitor's lounge, recreation hall, study hall, prayer hall, facilities for indoor games, magazines, and television. Mess facilities are available with a well-maintained dining hall inside the hostel. A variety of meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically. Students are availed to go out with the warden's consent.

7thsem the campus selection will begin, and almost all companies have selected candidates from this college with all different branches. Sometimes the campus is conducted by pool where other college students also come to this college for campus recruitment. Well, the percentage gets more beneficial.

To improve your presentation skills, placement cell conducts special classes to face the exams and Iinterviews.Many companies conducted placement in the college which includes, Samundra institute of marine studies, Alpha marine engineering etc.As I had heard it's not too good. But I don't know what happens by the time I go through it . But I pray to god that I have to get a good placement from which I may get good job in a well known company.Every student should posses an identity card issued by the college, which should be produced whenever asked.No placements were come into our college and all passed out students were go to outside to search the jobs. compare to placement the mech students were not placed in any companies in our college because no companies was entered into campus.
