K.L.E. Society’s College of Pharmacy was established in 1968 within the pleasant geographical area of J. N. Medical College, Belgaum, with the aim of providing quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The courses started with, a credential in Pharmacy (1968) followed by B. Pharm (1975), M. Pharm (1988), the Ph. D Programmes (2000), M. Sc. In Clinical Pharmacy (2013) and eventually Pharm. D (2014). the College of Pharmacy is run during a spacious well-equipped building of its own with hostel, library and sports facilities. The pharmacy syllabus is approved by, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and therefore the UG programme is authorised by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation), AICTE, Indian capital up to Dec 2014. The establishment is that the constituent unit of KLE University, Belagavi, that is Re-Accredited by NAAC “A” grade by UGC, up to January 2021. 

The college has signed AN MOU with Rhodes University South Africa, University of Illinois (UIC) and University of Missouri (UM) at Columbia, the College has placed in sustained efforts in adopting the best- obtainable technologies to reinforce the standard of the education. the College is often receiving grants from completely different government funding agencies like UGC, AICTE, ICMR, CSIR, VGST etc.

The College has spacious laboratories having state of the art instruments viz;, GC, HPLC, HPTLC, DSC, FTIR, photometer, Spray Drier, Nano Particle Size analyzer, High Speed radical Centrifuge, knowledge Acquisition Systems, Flash recording, PCR, Bio-fermenter, atomic absorption photometer (AAS) etc. different supporting facilities like animal house, museum, clinical centre, analysis and bioavailability study centre are obtainable.
