Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty College, SHIRVA is sponsored by Vidyavardhaka Sangha (Regd.), Shirva, Udupi District and it's related to Mangalore University. the school was based with the aim of meeting the growing demand for University Education during this a part of the agricultural region of Udupi Taluk & Dist. within the year 1980.

Vidyavardhaka Sangha, the Society that has sponsored the school has continuously aimed toward spreading education among the agricultural folks that are the backbone of the country and has continuously believed that the salvation of any country depends directly on education. thence its name “Vidyavardhaka Sangha.” Rendering service and maintaining quality ar the faith of the promoters of the Sangha and their tenet is that the byword, “when wealth is lost nothing is lost, once health is lost one thing is lost when a character is lost everything is lost”.
