Irinjalakuda Diocese was established in the year 1978, and His Excellency Mar James Pazhayattil took over the reins as the first Bishop of this Diocese. Irinjalakuda Diocese is doing a excellent service meeting the needs of Education, Health and Social responsibilities. Considering the demands on the necessity of value based higher technical education, the people of the Diocese decided to establish an Engineering college to mark The Episcopal Silver Jubilee Year of His Excellency Bishop Mar James Pazhayattil and Silver Jubilee of the formation of the Diocese of Irinjalakuda .The Irinjalakuda Diocesan Educational Trust was formed and registered on 23-07-2001 with Reg. No: 138/IV 2001 at Irinjalakuda registration office with His Excellency Mar James Pazhayattil as Chairman, Rev. Msgr. Sebastian Ezhekadan as President, Rev. Fr. Joseph Thekkethala as Secretary, Rev.Fr. Pius Chirapanath as Finance Officer. With land holding about 40 acres , the Trust submitted the application form for establishing Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology at Kodakara, to the Government of Kerala, University of Calicut and AICTE , New Delhi through the Regional Office. By the Grace of God, the AICTE, New Delhi in its letter dated 06-06-2002, sanctioned the establishment of Sahrdaya College at Kodakara, to run the four B. Tech Degree courses leading to Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology (Engineering) with an intake of 60 students in each of the courses from the academic year 2002-2003.

Admission Process of Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology 

Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1978 with a mission to provide the students with a firm grounding in scientific and mathematical fundamentals expertise in the analysis, synthesis, and design of engineering systems. The institute offers undergraduate (B-tech) and postgraduate (M-tech) programs in various disciplines.

For seeking admission in b-tech (management seat), the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with 45% aggregate marks and must have passed the Kerala engineering entrance examination (KEAM).

Students admitted under the NRI quota are exempted from the KEAM examination. For B.Tech(lateral entry), candidates must have passed the diploma in engineering/technology with a duration of 3 years.

For M.Tech, the candidate must have passed the undergraduate course with aggregate 60% marks and must have passed the GATE examination.

For the regular batch, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology and must have passed the KEAM.

For lateral entry, 10% of seats are additionally sanctioned to provide direct admission to 2nd year of b-tech. Candidates must have passed the diploma course in Engineering/Technology from any institute with a duration of 3 years to get admission to this program. Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology campus is spread over an area of 10.5 acres with great infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and other facilities. The engineering institute is affiliated with APJ Abdul KalamTechnological university and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and Govt of Kerala

Above 65% getting placement in the campus with a good salary and with other goodies. There are many ways to achieve it, so I am doing hard work to achieve it. The only problem is that almost all companies are looking for computer students but It may not the problem of college.First of all my college did so many pool placements. 100s of companies like aegis etc came for the interview. The min of 50000 was the salary got for the persons who attended the interview 20% of people who attended the interview got the job.From the 6th semester, students were capable of campus selection. I think Tata companies have visited and other 6 six companies also which I couldn't remember, my senior said that to me. Below 40% of students getting placements have and my plan is to go abroad to secure my future. i just know a small thing about placements because I saw my college before 1year.From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. There are different companies visited like Byjus, Google and many major companies. 40% of students get placement. After my course, I wanted to work for a great company for making experience and after few years of experience, I want to start up a new company.Campus placements are being held in the last 2 years. Mostly Tcs, Infosys, Byjus are recruiting. The highest package was 35000. Mostly it companies are recruiting in the college. Only 15% are placed each year. Apply for a job in my field.Above 65% getting placement in the campus with a good salary and with other goodies. My plan is to go to the submarine. The life culture of navyians I like most. There are many ways to achieve it, so I am doing hard work to achieve it
