N. S. S. School, Manjeri is a Govt. Helped Arts and Science College of Nair Service Society. The College is partnered to University of Calicut and Accredited by NAAC with 'B' Grade and is perhaps the most established foundation of higher learning in Malappuram District. The plan to begin a College at Manjeri was brought about by Shri. Pulikkat Achuthan Nair. The gathering to examine the plausibility of a College under Nair Service Society was gone to by Shri. Mannath Padnabhan and a council established for this. The school was initiated by Shri. P.M. Thirumulpad on fifteenth July 1965. The College was moved up to initially review on twelfth August 1970. The school is possessed and overseen by the Nair Service Society which thinks about training as a social assistance. Like the other 23 Colleges possessed and breast fed by Nair Service Society, this College likewise owes its cause to its incredible originator Padmabhushan Mannathu Padmanabhan. Shri. G. Sukumaran Nair, General Secretary, Nair Service Society is continually observing the development and improvement of the school. Prof. R. Prasanna Kumar, Secretary, N. S. S. School's Central Committee and Dr. G. Jagdeesh Chandran, Asst. Training Secretary are enthusiastically checking the everyday exercises of the school on its way to achieve the mission. 

The school was officially initiated by Sri. P.M. Thirumulpad on fifteenth july 1965. The celebration of the establishment was commended with quality in 1990 and another two celebrated square was proclaimed opened by Sri. P.K. Narayana Panicker, the then General Secretary, Nair Service Society. Another arena was built with the assistance of UGC in the region of the Institution. A Computer lab, Language lab and a completely prepared class lobby are late increases to the offices accessible to understudies. The PC lab leads a preparation program with the point of securing 100% PC education among the staff and understudies of the school. 

At present this school offers eight Under Graduate courses and three Post Graduate courses. A solid workforce including 44 educators, 60% of whom are Research Degree holders deals with the instructing and learning process.
