Modern Education Society's Law College, Sirsi was built up in the year1974-75. The curious individuals of Sirsi hailed the move with all eagerness. The light of legitimate instruction was lit up in a community like sirsi basically by the intelligence, farsightedness and evangelist energy of the committed people like Late Shri .G. S. Hegde, Ajjibal, a stalwart in Co-employable Society, Late S. R. Hegde, Kadve, the key man of the TSS, Late Shri. R. G. Bhat, a prominent Law expert and our inventive Ex-Presidents Dr. V.S.Sonde, Shri Shantaram Hegde and ever steady nature of present President Sri. G. M. Hegde . The Law College is for all time partnered to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and perceived by the Bar Council of India. The College has been accepting awards from the Govt. of Karnataka under the Grant in help plot since 1987. The College has been brought under 2(f) and 12 B by UGC , New Delhi. 

The College is licensed by National Assessment and Accreditaion Council with ' B ' Grade during the year 2016-17 and legitimate upto fifteenth Sept.2021. The College is sorting out Endowment address arrangement for the sake of Late Justice G. N. Vaidya, in a remarkable path since 1987.
