Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science is a first grade Post Graduate institution of higher education established in the year 2002 at Nellikuzhy about 5 KM from Kothamangalam The Educational Hub of Kerala. The College is approved by the Govt. of Kerala and affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is founded & managed by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. The Trust also owns and manages Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Indira Gandhi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Indira Gandhi Polytechnic College, Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science, KMP Group of Institutions & SSM LP School Kudumunda.

The library is the storehouse of knowledge in all subjects. Our library has above 10000 books relating to the sciences, arts, humanities, management & commerce. Steps are being taken to transform the library into a digitalized one.

Computer Lab

As our college conducts BCA, BSc Computer Science & Electronics, B.Sc. For Cyber Forensic and B Com Courses, we have 2 computer labs equipped with a sufficient number of computers and internet facilities.

Seminar Hall & auditorium with Adequate Seating arrangements available on Campus with All Modern Facilities like Projector & Sound System

Transportation Facilities

College buses are available from Ernakulam, Chalakudy, Thodupuzha, Adimali, and Perumbavoor. There are 15 buses plying between these places. Staff and students travel in them.

Hostel

A hostel facility is available for girls and boys. For admission, separate applications and fee remittances may be done.

Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science Placements

The college provides a good placement scheme, but it was not worthy for all schemes. Many departmental students had nothing worth with it. It also organise an experience for the students, how to attend an interview. Students have to find their way in the science field, teaching, etc.

About 70% of students get placements offered by a bunch of well-accumulated companies. Every student was working part-time or doing fine with the scholarship allotted by the government and National Service Scheme, which helped a lot of students.In our college, many students got placed. MDS is the post-graduate degree where a dentist becomes specialised in different areas, such as oral and maxillofacial surgery for cancer in the mouth.

Our College offers addon courses for students interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing and cyber forensic which are high demanding. Tcs, infosys, and various other companies visits our college for recruitments About 50% of the students got placed in various companies.
