Mother College of Nursing established in the year 2003, as a dynamic center for nursing education. It aims in preparing competent nurses to accept the role as a care provider, educator, researcher and administrator. B. Sc Nursing Programme offered in the college emphasizes development of clinical expertise, teaching skills, administrative capacity and research mind in students to function at different levels of institutions. Mother College of Nursing functions under Mother Hospital, Thrissur is approved by Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council, Govt. of Kerala and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The College is located in the Hospital campus in Thrissur Municipal Corporation, just 1.5 km away from the city. The college offers finest and well-defined facilities for the academic and personal growth of students with high academic standards and excellent coaching by well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties. The college has well equipped class rooms, laboratories and library facilities for the training of the students. Clinical training is given in parent hospital situated in the same campus of the College of Nursing. Hostel facility is available for the students in the college campus itself. The hospital has 300-bed capacity with full time specialty and super specialty departments equipped with modern and advanced therapeutic and diagnostic systems and devices.

Admission Process for Mother College of Nursing

Mother College of Nursing Thrissur will accept self-attested Xerox copies of document papers submitted by students. If the candidate is unable to submit the requisite documents by the required date, her admission will automatically stand cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria

We have mentioned below all the important information about the eligibility criteria for the reference of the applicants:

For B.Sc Nursing (1) Pre-Degree Examination (10+2), Or An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (as per INC norms).

(2) The candidate shall be medically fit.

For M.Sc Nursing (1) The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with Kerala State Nursing Council Registration.

(2) The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of a regular degree course in Nursing – (B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing), with the minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

(3) The candidate shall be medically fit.

(4) Relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given as per state government norms.
