The Fatorda Salesian Society is an enrolled Society in the State of Goa. We are a piece of the World wide society of DON BOSCO with our branches in more than 100 nations on the planet. Our head office is arranged in Rome. In India we have more than 500 foundations occupied with the instruction of the Young. Our Regional office is set up at Odxel, close Goa University grounds. Our Focus is in the Education of the Young. The Institution has been set up and is managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco and it is available to all the Youth, regardless of position or belief. In 1971, because of the multifaceted nature of works, the Technical Section of Panjim was moved to Fatorda. This move additionally denoted the Silver Jubilee of the landing of the Salesian in Goa. Fr. Henry Torra, a Spaniard, was depended with the supervision of the development of structures and beginning of the task. The reason for the Don Bosco Technical School was to prepare the young men who were not able complete their training. The Institute started its exercises on July 16, 1973, offering non formal preparing in the exchanges of the Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician and Motor Mechanic. It got an exceptionally reassuring reaction and the requirements continued developing, with the end goal that in August 1983, the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Government of India remembered it as an Industrial Training Institute (ITI).
