About Techno India University

Techno India University (TIU), Kolkata, was established in 2002 by the Techno India Group. It is a private university located at Bidhannagar Salt Lake, Sector 5, Kolkata. The university is accredited by NBA and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to WBUT (West Bengal Technological University). TIU Kolkata offers UG, PG and PhD programs in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Management, Humanities and Law. Admission to most of the UG and PG courses is based on the Joint Techno Entrance Examination (TNJEE) conducted by the university. However, the university also accepts results from National/State examinations: JEE Main, WBJEE for BE/BTech courses, NATA for B.Arch, WBJEE ANM and GNM exams for GNM courses, CLAT for Law courses, GATE exams for ME -/MTech courses and CAT/MAT results for MBA/PGDM courses. Admission to PhD programs is based on UGC NET/GATE exams. Admission to the remaining courses is based on the academic performance of the candidate.

Admission Process of Techno India University

Scholarship of Techno India University 

Mega Talent Hunt Scholarship Program: It is a scholarship program that waives fees for deserving students throughout the duration of their subsequent course at Techno India University. A total of 10 scholarships are available – 5 selected students will be awarded a full scholarship, while half of all tuition fees will be waived for 5 students.

Eligibility: Students with a consistent record of outstanding academic performance and/or extracurricular activities can apply.

Facilities of Techno India University

Hostel

The campus consists of Several well built hostel blocks,both for girls and boys with capacity of many students. Each hostel consists of a separate mess, administrative office, warden quarter. In addition to well furnished rooms, the hostel is complete with facilities like free hi speed Wi-Fi connection, gymnasium, medical center and other amenities for shopping, sports, recreation and entertainment. A shopping complex, consisting of about some shops, is constructed in the vicinity of the hostel blocks and caters to the daily needs of the students like groceries, stationery, laundry and grooming.

Library

The library of the institute has a wide collection of books, magazines, national and international journals. The other resources present in the library include printed books, e-books, back volumes, and CDs/DVDs.

Sports

The university has a well-equipped sportsground for outdoor sports such as cricket, football, volleyball and badminton. The university also has an indoor games room for indoor sports such as chess, table tennis and carrom for the benefit of the students.
