Candidates seeking PhD in Physiology should have a postgraduate degree in Physiology with at least 55% marks in relevant subjects from a recognized university and should have passed the national or university-level entrance examination. National level entrance examinations such as UGC NET / UGC CSIR NET / GATE / SLET and university level entrance examinations consist of a written test and a personal interview.

The program is designed to give students a thorough understanding of integrative, systemic, cellular, and molecular physiology, prepare them for independent research, and provide scientific experience in one of the specializations of physiology.
The program helps to prepare highly qualified personnel for various areas of physiology.
