Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan, Mathura, discover first of its sort in the State and fourth in the Country, was set up by Government of Uttar Pradesh vide U. P. Act. No. 27 of 2001 on 25.10.2001 with the College of Veterinary Science and AH., the recent U.P. College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura as its primary constituent College. 

Brij zone is known since days of yore for master Krishna and its creature riches, especially cows. There are enormous quantities of Gau-shalas in and around Mathura having hundreds and thousand of bovines. The entire of Brij Kshetra is celebrated for its milk and items (doodh, dahi, makhan, pera and so on.) Recognizing the significant of live-supply of this region, the recent U.P. College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry was set up in Mathura by Govt of U.P. in 1947. It was the main Veterinary College in Asia to present the degree in Veterinary Science. As far back as the foundation of this College, it has contributed essentially not just as far as number of graduated and post-graduated of high Scholastic request, yet additionally quality research of national and global benchmarks.
