Swahid Jadav Nath Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (SJNHMCH) is a premier institution located in Guwahati, Assam. Established in the year 1967, the college has been providing quality education in homoeopathy for over 50 years. The college was established in memory of Swahid Jadav Nath, a freedom fighter and a prominent political leader of Assam. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India. The college started functioning from the year 1972.

BHMS Course
The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a 5½-year course that includes a one-year internship. The course covers various subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, materia medica, repertory, and homoeopathic pharmacy.

The admission process for BHMS and MD courses is through the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). The eligibility criteria for BHMS are 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. For MD, the candidate must have completed BHMS with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The admission process for the PhD course is through a written test and an interview.
