Michael Madhusudan Memorial college, established in 1996 and related to to the University of Burdwan, had a humble starting with the standard courses in Arts and Commerce. The Institute continuously tried to grow in tune with the demand of the society and the public. the primary milestone of the school was the introduction of Honours in English and earth science in 2000. The second milestone was the introduction of skilled courses in B.B.A (H) and B.C.A (H). soon courses in Science stream was opened in Physics, biological science, arithmetic, Zoology, Chemistry. nowadays the school runs with success twenty departments of that twelve courses area unit having Honours (English, Bengali, Geography, History, Philosophy, Education, Hindi, Physics, arithmetic, applied science, biological science, Accountancy), 2 skilled courses (B.B.A. and B.C.A.) and 7 general courses (Political Science,

Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Music, Chemistry, Zoology). Consequently, the second cycle of NAAC Peer Team visit has already been completed on September 2016 and achieved B grade with GPA-2.40.
