Muthoot College of Nursing situated in Kozhencherry, Pathanamthitta District was founded under the aegis of the Muthoot Group, a well known business group in India. The college started with B.Sc. Nursing program in the year 2003 and started Post Basic and M.Sc. Nursing Programme in 2011. Muthoot College of Nursing is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The college functions attached to the 407 bedded parent hospital, MGM Muthoot Hospital. The Nursing College offers the state of the art facilities for the overall growth and development of students adhering to high academic standards. The students are coached by well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. Experts from various disciplines with high academic backgrounds strengthen basic learning systems of the students. The facilities offered here serves as a well built platform for the nursing students for their clinical practice and growth. The college has good infrastructure facilities with its own building and hostel. Other facilities include Labs, Library, Auditorium, Seminar hall, Guidance & Counseling, Facilities for Sports & Games, Music Classes etc.

Candidates should be eligible for higher studies and should have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in PCB put together.
Should have a minimum of 50% in English language.
Should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December.
Candidates shall be medically fit.

Candidates should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). Candidates should possess a three-year diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in the profession (after registration as RNRM).
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with science stream from a recognised board.
Student Support Guidance Cell
A Student support and guidance cell was formed in our college as per the guidelines provided by the university. The activities of the cell are Guidance and counseling, Stress management programme, coping and enhancement programme, Study skill orientation, study groups. Tutorials, online support and resources assistance, professional socialization including improving communication skills and addressing the student grievances. Students can approach the nodal officers at any time of the day.
College Council
The college council constitute of the principal, vice principal, Departments HODs, office superintendent, PTA Representatives, and student representatives. Meetings are held once in three months periodically, and as and when required. It works for the welfare of the institution. Disciplinary actions also taken by college council.
Music club
We have a well functioning music club where students from all batches are actively involved.
Oratory club
Oratory club activities include conveying message during daily morning Assembly. They also conduct various reading competitions for special occasions.
Literary club
Book exhibition is organized in connection with reading week celebration. Literary club organizes various writing competitions such as letter writing, essay writing, poems, stories, drawing etc for various activities. Releasing of College Magazine is under the activities of this club.
Nature club
Nature club inculcate interest among the students with regard to environment. Our college terrace and hostel courtyard has a kichen garden with variety of vegetables that are grown organically. The aim is to inculcate a living respecting nature, agriculture and life in general.
Yoga club
Yoga club instills positivity among students. Yoga sessions are organized regularly. Yoga classes are arranged in auditorium .

“The Alumni Association MGM Muthoot College of Nursing, Kozhencherry’ have 15 batches of B.Sc. nursing, 8 batches of Post Basic B.Sc. nursing, and 8 batches of M.Sc. nursing students all over the world.
