Admissions Open in Convergence Institute of Media, Management and Information Technology Studies

Commits was set up as a postgraduate media and communications institute in Bangalore, and inaugurated by then Governor of Karnataka, Smt Rama Devi, in August 2001. Its objective is to enable students to position themselves as multiskilled and multifaceted media professionals. In a span of little over a decade Commits has emerged as one of the top five communication colleges at the postgraduate level in India, offering a bouquet of cutting-edge courses across the media spectrum. Commits does not advertise or promote itself in the media heavily as most other educational institutions do, but believes in word-of-mouth publicity and its own students as its brand ambassadors. Commits is a small institute with a big reputation. The emphasis is on all-round development, where theory and practice are given equal weightage; where academics and industry-work go hand-in-hand; where teachers are also professionals and professionals are teachers.
