Established in 2010 as a private sector self-financing engineering college affiliated to Kerala Technological University, the institute has the approval of AICTE and the Government of Kerala. Scholarships are available for meritorious students. In order to prepare students with industry-related skills, the college actively undertakes value-added programs in partnership with MOU’s of IBM and ASAP. Students are encouraged to be part of various clubs to gain supplementary knowledge in their chosen field of interest.

The ambience of the campus is predominantly green. The academic pursuits of students are fully supported by modern, well-stocked libraries and state of the art facilities. Admission Process for Al-Azhar College of Engineering and Technology

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with atleast 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission.
