Patna Science College, a constituent unit of Patna University, was established in 1927. Initially it was opened as the Science Department of Patna University. It began functioning independently from 1928 when its foundation stone was laid by Lord Irwin on 15 November, 1928. Since then, Patna Science College has been recognized as a Premier Institution of higher learning in science streams in India.The College is centrally located in Patna, the capital of Bihar, occupying an area of approximately 28.32 acres of land containing separate blocks for different science departments. This enormous campus is situated on the Northern side of Ashok Rajpath sprawling between the Central Library of Patna University and the NIT (erstwhile the Bihar College of Engineering). It encompasses five hostels - Cavendish. Newton, Ramanujam, Faraday and C. V. Raman. Apart from that, two sports fields, one gymnasium, one common room and one administrative block are integral part of the College Campus.The College offers B.Sc. (Honours) in Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology. Apart from the usual B.Sc. (Honours) courses. it also imparts teaching in various Vocational and Professional courses under the self-financing scheme that include B.Sc. (Honours) in Bio-Technology. B.Sc. (Honours) in Computer Applications - popularly known as the BCA course, B.Sc. (Honours) in Envvormental Science.Though primarily a science teaching institute, Patna Science College has always had a full-fledged language teaching unit comprising Hindi and English Departments right since its inception. Each department also has facilities for conducting research in respective subjects. The College has a great legacy and has been striving continuously to maintain and improve it. It has been the breeding ground for the future scientists, researchers and administrators. it can boast of distinguished alumni holding very high positions in diverse fields of Science, Medicine, Engineering, Banking, Administrauon, etc. in India and abroad. The College has also been publishing a research journal titled Journal of Patna Science College and a magazine titled Navnirman, to cultivate and materialize scientific research attitude, and to promote creative and literary acumen among students, faculty members and college staff respectively.In some recent years, the College has proven its capacity to perform at par with the best educational institutions across the country. Funding from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, under the Star-College Scheme, is the testimony to that. The Institution is dedicated towards relentless development of the learning-teaching atmosphere of the State and the Nation. As a part of this goal, in recent years, it has developed some student-friendly facilities like a Centralized Conference Hall, a Central Computing Facility and a Language Laboratory, among others. Digitization of the Central Library of the College iS another leap forward towards achieving the goal of a paperless era. For housing the Vocational and Self-financed courses under one roof, a new age building With all modern facilities has been inaugurated very recently. A new Foundation Pillar of the College has recently become a unique feature of the College.Enhancement of the beauty along with the eco-friendliness of the College Campus has also been undertaken recently by planting Foxtail plants and other floral plants of botanical importance. Measures are also being taken for making the Campus equipped with better lighting facilities and thus, making it safer for movements of its members.

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.

All companies placement are get a minimum 5 lakh per year package. Student wo get 70% and more then that who are get the placement. When I got my degree I applied for MSc firstly clear CUET or otherwise preparation for JAM exam.
