Bachchan was born in a Kayastha family on 27 November 1907 in Babupatti, a small village in Pratapgarh district, adjacent to Allahabad. His father's name was Pratap Narayan Shrivastava and mother's name was Saraswati Devi. They were called 'Bachchan' in childhood, which literally means 'child' or 'child'. Later he became famous by this name. He first studied Urdu at Kayastha Pathshala, which was then considered the first step towards a law degree.He received his MA in English from Prayag University. And Ph.D., doing research on the poems of noted poet of English literature WB Yeats from the University of Cambridge. D. Puri [1]. In 1926, at the age of 19, he was married to Shyama Bachchan, who was then 18 years old. But Shyama died of TB in 1937. Five years later in 1971, Bachchan married a Punjabi Teji Suri who was involved in theater and singing. 

At the same time, he composed poems like 'Reconstruction of Need'. Tej Bachchan had two sons Amitabh and Ajitabh. Amitabh Bachchan is a famous actor. Teji Bachchan has acted in many Shakespearean translated plays by Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
