Why Raman Research Institute?

The Raman Research Institute was established in 1948 by the Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate, Sir C V Raman, to proceed with his examinations and essential research after he resigned from the Indian Institute of Science. Sir C V Raman filled in as its executive carrying on his own exploration until his downfall in 1970. It was subsidized by and by him and with gifts from private sources. In December 1934, the Government of Mysore skilled a plot of land in Bangalore to Professor Raman for the formation of an exploration establishment. Around the same time, the Indian Academy of Sciences was established by Prof. Raman. A few years following the making of the Raman Research Institute in 1948, Prof. Raman made an endowment of different portable and steady properties to the Academy for the utilization and advantage of the Raman Research Institute. After the Professor's destruction in November 1970, the Academy made an open altruistic trust: the Raman Research Institute Trust. The terrains, structures, stores, protections, bank stores, funds, labs, instruments, and all other versatile and relentless properties held by the Academy for the Raman Research Institute were moved to the RRI Trust. The chief capacity of the RRI Trust was to keep up, lead and support the Raman Research Institute.
