Gayatri College of Pharmacy, one of the leading educational Institution in India, was set up in the year 1986 with an aim to produce technically trained personnel in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology & to promote the Technical Education in general. The institution was established by the founder Secretary, Sri Sibnarayan Satpathy & gradually Promoted by the founder Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Satpathy. Presently the society is running with D. Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy), B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) & M. Pharm (Master in Pharmacy) course.The college is spread over an area of 5 acres of land, 6 Km away from the hurdles of the township. Encircled with greenish landscape and below the foot step of the longest HIRAKUD DAM the campus named as GAYATRI VIHAR exhibits a sound academic atmosphere and a place for tourist.

Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre provides different infrastructure and facilities to the students and faculty such as a centralised digital library, hostels for boys and girls, sports facilities, medical facilities, canteen and labs, auditorium, and yoga room, etc. Various other facilities like the internet, banking, security, post office, ATM, etc are also available for the students.
Yoga Room
This is a place where students can do meditation and yoga for relaxation of mind and soul.
Boys Hostel
The men's hostel has five blocks "Vindhya", "Satpura" "Aravali" "Nilgiri" "Himalaya" with a capacity to accommodate 1263 students.
Girls Hostel
The women's hostel has two blocks "Nagavali" and "Vamsadhara" with a capacity to accommodate 444 students.
Medical/Hospital
A doctor and health assistant offer their services to both hostels, everyday.
Library
The Knowledge Resource Centre along with nine departmental libraries collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the facilities on taking library membership. The Knowledge Resource Centre has subscription to online journals of IEEE(ASPP), ASME, ASCE, SPRINGER, ELSEVIER (Science Direct), MC GRAW HILL (Access Engineering Library) , ASTM DIGILAL LIBRARY, J- GATE(Engineering and Technology) and DELNET. The online journals are access through DELTA R5 Server.

Canteen facility is provided for day scholars with healthy and tasty foods at reasonable rates.

An air-conditioned auditorium with screening facility provides the community an avenue to entertain large gatherings. The same venue also offers Video Conferencing facility for the students to listen to highprofile speakers from other locations.

In the present global technical scenario, the need to communicate effectively in English has become a necessity than a privilege. It has been observed that most engineers and technologists lack effective communication skills despite possessing sound technological knowledge. To cater to the needs of the engineering students, Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre has set up an advanced Language Lab based on the recommendations of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

For Undergraduate Courses
To get admission to this course, the candidates have to qualify Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).Further, candidates have to fill the online application form on the official website of Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre based on their EAMCET scores along with all required documents and payment of fees.Seats will be allotted to the candidates after the counselling process.Admissions will be offered after the verification of documents and payment of fees at the Institute.
For Postgraduate courses
Candidates have to fill the online application form. To get admission to courses, the candidates have to qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).Final selection of the candidates will be done through a common window counselling process. Admissions will be offered after the verification of documents and payment of fees at Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre Rajam.

The placement cell of Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre is successful in placing many students as interns / employees in the corporate world. The objective of the placement cell is to encourage internships and create awareness among the students about the professional requirements of the employers and through the internships the students learn the working culture of companies and have a more mature understanding of the needs of the employers. Internship also helps in keeping in touch with various companies; it not only gives a practical exposure to the students, but also helps the placement cell in developing further contacts and strengthening relationship for future placements in the campus.2010 – 11, the Tin Jubilee year has rained jobs on Gayatri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Centre. Close to 60% of the eligible students were directly placed.
