Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science began its journey of excellence in the year 1997 as a self-financial Engineering college under Shalini Vidya Samithi, Karimnagar with a vision of providing technical education to the rural students by our esteemed chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao Garu. JITS is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.Jyothishmathi has made meteoric progress during the last 22 years in teaching learning process and thrived into one of the top b.tech colleges in Telangana State. Library
Library is an integral part of JITS started at the time of its inception in 1997. The prime objective of the library is to support in fulfilling the information need of parent institute, build and preserve the collection of specialized books in the various fields. The library is the Treasure Trove and provides the fertile Source of Information to the Engineers. Recognizing the role of the library, it was setup as one of the key divisions of the Institute. The collection is mainly strong in engineering and technology, however good information sources on humanities and social sciences are also available.
Language Lab
Communication skills are indispensable for the success of any professional student. The four skills of learning, speaking, reading and writing have to be practiced regularly for empowering communication skills. Thus, the language lab at JITS offers an inclusive result orientation and is effective to enrich the English language learning process.The language laboratory is equipped with audio-visual installation used in modern teaching methods to learn the foreign languages. The language lab provides a rich environment to learn and practice the language and a new outlook for the students to support themselves at the onset.
COMPUTER CENTER
Jyothishmathi Institute of Technological Sciences has a centralized computer centre with an area of 150 sqm with adequate computing facility, accessible to all students and faculty for teaching-learning, research, development and other academic activities. The centre is equipped with 100 computers, 2 printers and internet facility.
E-CLASSROOMS
The College is equipped with e-classrooms to enable students with worldclass teaching experience via audio-visual teaching methodologies. Our College has introduced an active learning atmosphere through the state of art e-classroom facilities making it one of the top engineering colleges in Telangana. The presence of technology in the classroom is a testimony to access to knowledge and communication tools online at the workplace. Faculty can also share their discipline-specific application of technology such as the use of online databases.
SEMINAR HALLS
Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science has one air conditioned seminar hall with an area of 252 Sqm, in addition to three other seminar halls with an area of 139 Sqm each, all fully equipped with LCD Projector, audio and video equipment, computer with internet connectivity and Public address system with good acoustics. These seminar halls are utilized for Co-curricular activities such as Guest lectures, workshops and seminars.
