Admissions Open in University Institute of Technology

Burdwan University Executive Council settled on June 11, 1999 to set up a building organization at the University Campus under the immediate control and the board of the University of Burdwan – named ' University Institute of Technology (UIT)'. On September 16, 1999 Burdwan University Court affirmed the goals. According to arrangements of the Burdwan University Act under Section 2 Sub-segments 16 and 17 the establishment appreciates the status of a Professional College run and oversaw by the University. The Institute was set up in the year 2000. With the endorsement of Govt of West Bengal and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Institute has been running Bachelor of Engineering courses in six controls. 

The organization is licensed by TCS and has a scholarly collusion with IBM, Oracle Corporation and Microsoft Corporation, and so on. The National Board for Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE has authorize the Dept. of (1) Electronics and Communication Engg (ECE) and (2) Computer Science and Engg (CSE) for a long time powerful from sixteenth April, 2009. Application for re-accreditation and new accreditation for two all the more new qualified subjects, IT and AEIE will be made by end July 2013. 

The Institute concurred the endorsement of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) – Phase-II and reserve was gotten from MHRD and State Govt. on nineteenth July, 2013. 

The Institute keeps up solid understudy personnel proportion and all employees are Post-graduates/Ph D.
