Admission Process of Basavakalyan Engineering College

At undergraduate level, the college offers Bachelor’s courses in Engineering and Architecture. Final allotment of seats is through counselling conducted by KEA. Merit list of the candidates will be based on the candidate’s score in COMEDK-UGET/KCET for B.E. and NATA for B.Arch.

Applicants for B.E. must possess HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ CS/ Electronics as one of the optional with 45% aggregate marks. Candidates must have Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with 50% aggregate to apply to B.Arch admission.

PDA College of Engineering offers Master’s degree in Technology under 10 disciplines. For admission to M.Tech program, candidates are admitted on the basis of score in Karnataka Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGCET).Candidates should have obtained B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) from an AICTE/ UGC approved institution recognized by the Government of Karnataka.Selection of candidates in 11 doctoral programs offered by the college is based on VTU Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR) conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University. Based on the test score, applicants will be shortlisted for interview.

Candidates must hold a recognized Master’s degree in the concerned fields with 60% aggregate as the minimum educational requirement for admission to Ph.D. program.

Candidates are then required to fill and submit the online application form online after filling all the requisite details as given in the information brochure.

Payment of application fees can be made online through e-Challan.

Scanned copies of passport size photograph, candidate’s signature, candidate’s left hand thumb impression and parent’s signature are required to be uploaded.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.

At least three printouts of the finally submitted online application.

Boys Hostel

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Girls Hostel

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Medical/Hospital

The College campus has first aid facilities. Our society has two hospitals. One is Sangameshwar Hospital which is just 1 km and the other is Basaveshwar Hospital around 2 km away from the college. These hospitals have good medical facilities and provide medical service to us regularly and in an emergency. Students are treated free of cost and staff are getting a 25% concession for treatment.

Library

The college central library is to provide information services and access to bibliographic to support the institute's march towards its vision. It strives to provide information to faculty and students to meet their expectations. It has a barcode reading. A separate facility for access to E-Journals is also available in the library. Under Indest Consortia, the faculty and students can access about 250 online journals. Through DELNET the students can access the Library facilities of many reputed organizations. The new library building is built with funds provided under TEQIP, which also includes a digital library. It is completely automated using EasyLib software and has the right environment for the students to read and gain Information. The central library is spread out over 1600 sq. meters. The library is housed in a 3 storied building.

Sports

The college also emphasizes the overall development of the students, by encouraging them to participate in indoor and outdoor sports, cultural activities, seminars, excursions, industrial tours, and participation in technical exhibitions. The college has facilities for any kind of indoor and outdoor sports such as a 400-meter track, cricket ground, two basketball courts, etc.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. 600 computers and state-of-art laboratories.

The college has two Canteens available on campus to cater to the refreshment needs of staff and students at reasonable prices.

If you have enough skills in coding then you can showcase them and ask the TPO cell for the placement drive. usually, the placement drive in our college starts at the end of the 6th sem The average package you can include is around 3-4 LPA I don't the exact no. Of the companies that visit our college. But companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys are sure.Academics I am presently studying PGDM at the institute with a dual specialization in Finance and Marketing. These courses especially have some of the highly qualified and knowledgable faculty members with years of experience. The curriculum is up to date with real-life case studies which prepares everyone for the corporate world. Placements The placements are the main attraction of this course at SJIM. Ranging from the big four too many start-ups with different range of income levels with an average of 7.5 lakhs is what the college offers. The highest salary package offered for this batch is 21.2 Lakhs for marketing.
