Maltidhari College founded on 14th. July 1956 by combined efforts of progressive and visionary local formers, philanthropist and education lovers, It is a premier rural college of Patna district. Initially it was named as “Swamy Vasudevacharya College”. In the later years due to generous donations by Smt. Maltidhari Singh and with consent of the Governing Body & by approval of Swamy Vasudercharya, it’s name has been changed to be known as “Maltidhari College”. Our founder secretary Sri Sidheshwar Prasad Singh, Advocate (Patna High Court) and first principal Prof. Bangali Singh along with other Stakeholders have struggled tirelessly to transform this college into a progressive, equal opportunity Institution that has today become an important Centre of Higher Education in this far flung rural area of Naubatpur block. This college got it’s first affiliation in 1957 from Patna University. After coming into existence of BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur it came under jurisdiction of BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, and then finally it become a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. Presently we are catering higher education from higher secondary level (10+2) to Graduation level in faculty of Science, Arts and Vocational studies (BCA) in total 15 Subjects. We strive to provide the best to our students, be it educational ambience, infrastructure or technological advancements. We have pledged in letter and spirits to make your stay in the college a memorable and fruitful one.To provide innovative educational environment and opportunities to rural youth for harmonious enrichment of physical, emotional and intellectual facets of their personality and to bring out their hidden potential.To inculcate Spiritual, Ethical, Moral, ecological and social values to the students from all section of society.To develop simultaneous education of the Hand, Heart and Head.To disseminate the findings of research to the community to facilitate its development.To create a sound academic campus of Learning with repute through action and interaction.To go beyond the realm of regular academia and arrange a wide array of enrichment programmes for the Students and faculty.

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
