Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a leading institute specializing in basic science research and education. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed the Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was designated as an Institute of National Importance through an Act of Parliament. 1. Candidates wishing to enroll in the first-year course should apply online. Complete forms must be submitted via the College website.
2. Applicants must upload original documents and a recent passport size photo.
3. The admission form recommended by admission committee and approved by the Principal entitles a candidate to deposit the prescribed fee within the stipulated period.
4. Change of subject is allowed only with the permission of the Principal. Change of faculty, i.e. from Science to Arts and vice versa, is permissible only if the candidate has the required percentage of marks as specified for admission to that faculty.
5. College authorities may discontinue a course of study in case adequate number of students are not available in a particular course.

The main building of the guesthouse building has a multi-purpose hallway with all audio-visual equipment and a public entrance to the units. Flexible seating arrangements accommodate up to 200 people. There are three discussion rooms with group seating and three meeting rooms with round table seating. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, projectors, green and white forums and paneled partitions for better acoustics.
Medical facilities:
All his IISER Pune students and staff have access to the clinical center located at the Wellness Clinic on campus. Regular medical professionals and public health workers will be available for consultation.
Sports Facilities:
For IISER Pune, sports activities are an integral part of campus life. There are many opportunities for sporting activities on campus.
