Dr. S and S. S. Ghandhy College of Engineering and Technology is arranged in SURAT, the second biggest city of Gujarat State. This Institute is one of the most seasoned and biggest Technical Institution of Gujarat. It was set up in June 1955. The contributor late Dr. SORABJI and SAROSH SORABJI GHANDHY, A neighborhood ZORASTRIAN Medical Practitioner, was the Prime Driving Force behind the foundation of this Institute, who gave Rs. 0.52 million in the time of 1952. In reality, he had a fantasy about beginning a Degree Engineering College, not only a Polytechnic thus, he named the school as Dr. S. and S. S. GHANDHY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING and TECHNOLOGY. Later on, The Government of Bombay State gained the land building and types of gear at the expense of Rs. 0.605 Million.
