There are various facilities provided to the candidates at Adikavi Nannaya University. The university provides the following facilities:
Library: The library has about 15000 text and reference books worth of around 73,00,000/-. Candidates have access to 50 different periodicals and 12 newspapers. It also provides competitive books so that the students can use them for their job purposes.
Hostels: The University provides hostel facilities to the applicants studying at the institute. There are 2 separate hostels available for the male and female students which also offer mess facilities.
Sports: The University takes active interest in the sports and has won several sports tournaments.
Adikavi Nannaya University has a dream of achieving excellence in the near future and becoming a forerunner of designing and initiating novel program that are relevant to the demands of the Godavari districts. In its year of the inauguration in 2006, the University initiated a potentially job-oriented program in Geo-informatics, the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh and one of the few in the country. In the second phase, keeping in view the Govt.’s policy of encouraging 5 year integrated courses, the University designed and offered a new course in Mathematics and Computing, with the objective of providing trained programmers to the IT Industry.
B.Tech., BA and B.Sc.: The applicant must have qualified exams in the respective subjects in their 10+2 class with an aggregate score of the 50%
B.Ed.: The student must have completed their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Humanities/Social Science or Science and qualified with an aggregate score of 50%. The aspirants are to also have cleared diploma after 10+2 or UG course from the recognized university or board to gain entry into B.Ed.
B.Tech.: For admission in the B.Tech. course, the candidate has to attempt AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and the Medical Common Entrance Test)
B.Ed.: The mode of the B.Ed. course admission is through the Education Common Entrance Test (APEDCET) conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
BA and B.Sc.: The selection is done for the BA and B.Sc. courses on the basis of merit of 10+2 results.

It is named after Nannayya, the first attested author of the text composed in the Telugu language. The university attends to the educational needs of both the Godavari districts. Currently, all seventy-four post-graduate institutes as well as the 403-degree colleges located within the aforementioned districts and maintain their government-mandated university affiliation with the Adikavi Nannaya University. These colleges were previously affiliated with Andhra University.
