The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, Meghalaya is an autonomous institute newly established under the  Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The Institute is developed adjacent to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya.The Union Cabinet in its meeting held on 27th March, 2008 accorded approval to establish North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy at Shillong to provide health care to the people of NE Region and Sikkim under Ayurveda and Homoeopathy systems of medicine; moreover, to promote and popularize Ayurveda and Homoeopathy and to create awareness among the general masses regarding the importance, effectiveness and potentials of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, the expansion of health care facilities, improvement in the doctor-population ratio and R&D on bio-resources in the North East region.

Library

Access to information is a vital key in developing the individuals potentiality. The College has provided a central library consisting more than 10,000 books and adequate number of journals. All the latest editions of books both for reference and text are available in this library. It also subscribes to various newspaper and periodicals for the information and update of their knowledge. The journals of both National and International, related to all Medical subjects are also subscribed. The library is spread over 130 sq.mtrs. and has the seating capacity of 50 students in its reading sections.

Hostel              

Kashmir Tibbia College, Hospital & Research Centre (KTCHRC) has coordinated with Madr-e-Meharban Women’s Hostels, Miskeen Bagh Khanyar, Srinagar, with a view to facilitate the female students who wish to avail the hostel accommodation. College is also persuading and coordinating with Hostels for facilitating the availability of accommodation for boys. The hostels have limited seats and it is offered by the Hostel Authorities on first come first served basis on depositing of the required hostel fee.

Auditorium

Auditorium - A well furnished auditorium with state of the art audio, video facilities and seating capacity of 300 students is being developed for conduct of various functions to facilitate student’s activities. The auditorium facilities are utilized during Seminars, Symposia, Conferences, EC Activities, Guest Lecturers, fresher’s party, Convocation Programme, farewell functions and other cultural functions, etc. 

Herbal Garden

Herbal Garden of the college is situated at the rear end of the college campus. Area of Herbal garden is 2500 sq. mtrs. having required number of species and plants which include medicinal herbs, shrubs, trees and climbers. Herbal garden is equipped with appropriate water source, tools and other materials. The facility of green house is being provided for better propagation and preservation of medicinal plants/herbs. The herbal garden is maintained by the skilled garden workers. Herbal Garden facilitates the academic and research need of the institute. The main objective is to facilitate the training and teaching of medicinal plants by way of identification and demonstration of the medicinal plants.

These are subject to change according the orders of the UGC, the AICTE, the State Government, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Commissioner ofNorth Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy  and the Conveners of various UG and PG Common Entrance Tests etc. from time to time.The admission to the course, under “Category A” seats, is through a state level entrance test called “Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test” (EAMCET), conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education. And The Admission into the MBA Course, Under Category “A” through the state level entrance test called “TS ICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test).

The Training & Placement Cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out The Training and Placement Cell of our institute vigorously endeavors at shaping up the career prospectus of its students by exposing them to the actual world of work through a close rapport and liaison with industry and business houses .It extends hand holding support to its student for their appropriate placement on completion of their course of studies from the college .It acts as a two way bridge between the faculty / students of institute and the industry, which helps in flow of academic knowledge from institute and knowledge of practical operations and latest trends and techniques from the industry.
