Why Bhubananda Orissa School of Engineering?

Preceding 1923, there was no extent of specialized training in Orissa. Understudies were going to Bihar School of Engineering for Diploma courses. On height of Bihar School of Engineering to Bihar Engineering College, Orissa School of Engineering was set up in 1923 at Cuttack under Bihar-Orissa Government. After second World War in 1939 and during Japanese animosity in 1942, Orissa School of Engineering prepared in excess of 1000 War Technicians, retire officers and Industrial learners. The establishment was focus of war endeavors in the Eastern Region. Master Wavell, the then Viceroy of India was paying tropical storm visits to the foundation during the thick of war. At first specialist courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical-Mechanical Engineering were there in the Institute. At a later organize, to satisfy the Industrial need expanded courses were presented under semester framework in 1971 in this Engineering School.
