The Mahatma Evening Degree Arts and Commerce College of Mahatma Educational Society is permanently affiliated with the University of Mumbai. This university was founded in 1986 with the primary objective of providing higher education facilities to underprivileged youth who cannot become full-time students at a full-time university. The university is located in the central suburb of Chembur, Mumbai. From a very modest initial enrollment of just 60 students, the university now boasts a large student community of over 1,400 ambitious learners and a team of highly qualified, dedicated and dedicated teachers.
