Renuka College was established in 2001 by late Founder President of Renuka Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Nagpur –Shri Eknath Gedam, who was a great academician and administrator of par excellence. He was guided with the motto of “Atta Deep Bhava” to get enlightened. Therefore he started the college in a rented building with limited means and resources to educate and enlighten the students of deprived and vulnerable class of the society. The college was initially started as Arts College only and later on Junior college in Arts and Commerce was also commenced in 2007-08. Then varied courses in Commerce and Management were introduced Meanwhile he bought a piece of land at Besa to provide education to the large masses. The college shifted to its newly constructed building. In a short span of time, the college made progress by leaps and bounds academically and institutionally. The college got its permanent affiliation from the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and 2 (f) status from the UGC in 2011 followed by 12 (B) status in the year 2013. In 2012-13 the college granted the permission to start B.Com courses in English, Marathi and Hindi Medium. Now the college has near about 600 hundred students who are first generation learners. The college strives to cater to the needs of the students who hail from financially weak and educationally underprivileged families. The college strives to fulfill its motto to get the students enlightened by imparting best education with modern tools and technology. The college endeavours its best to provide holistic education to the students to make them disciplined, social, moral and responsible citizen of the country so that they can contribute their part in the progress and prosperity of the nation.

Girls Hostel
Girls hostel is provided within the campus having single & double bed occupancy with a capacity of 100 students. It is also provided with the facilities of a mess, internet, library & indoor games.

The college has a fully computerized spacious library with around 12819 books. Reputed journals of international and national standards of about 64 in number add value to the essential knowledge base of the library. Digital library with DELNET access facilitates e-learning as an additional feature. A separate reading room with great ambience is available for quiet reading. College library has a book bank facility for deserving students & also books under social welfare schemes are available for SC students. The library is open late in the evening also for students of the hostel as an exclusive facility. Xerox facility is also available.

It is fully air conditioned and equipped with the facilities of LCD Projector, OHP and Inbuilt Audio Systems.

A separate canteen exists in the college premises. one can relish with south Indian, punjabi, chinese dishes etc. snacks & beverages.

A nicely designed fully air conditioned Computer Center is equipped with branded machines of latest configuration connected through LAN network. Internet connectivity is available on all computers through broadband connection of 2 Mbps line.
