Vidya Bharati Mahavidyalaya was established in 1972 as a UG level science university in Amravati. Subsequently, the Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Cosmetic Technology, and Faculty of Business Administration were established, and a science PG was added under the Department of General Studies, and a research center for doctoral research was established in 13 programs. . For more than 40 years, the university has seen remarkable growth in its current location, with a huge campus in an upscale residential area. It has developed into a leading multidisciplinary and diverse institution in the region. This university was accredited as a grade 'A' institution by his NAAC, Bangalore in 2004. In the 2012-2013 II cycle, it was again certified by the NAAC with a grade of 'A' with a CGPA of 3.26 (at that time, the CGPA of 3.26 was the highest in the region). It has been awarded College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) status by UGC, New Delhi three times in a row and Star College status by Faculty of Biotechnology, New Delhi in 2012. Recognized as a Lead College by S.G.B. Amravati University, Amravati. He has obtained his ISO certification from UGC, New Delhi and NAAC Mentor Institute led by Pramash.
The infrastructure and facilities within the campus comply with the set standards. These include spacious classrooms, 07 E-classrooms, a separate building with a fully equipped life sciences laboratory, a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with Wi-Fi facilities, two A-V theaters, a recreation hall and a beautiful environment. It includes an attractive cafeteria surrounded by a wonderful university garden. 2 girls' dormitories, etc.

Girls Hostel
The college has a Hostel facility for girls that is provided on the premises of the institution. The hostel is home to the students on the campus. Hence she should behave on the campus as well as outside in such a manner as to bring credit to herself as well as to the institution.

The college has a library facility for all students. The library is equipped with up-to-date and rich knowledge resources in Hard and Soft forms. It also caters to the need of voracious readers of amateur literature. It is full of ample collections of Textbooks, References. E-Books and etc.
Sports
The college has sports facilities for indoor games such as chess, carrom, Table Tennis, shuttle, badminton, and outdoor facilities for football, hockey, kabaddi, volleyball, cricket, and basketball. The college has separate grounds for all these outdoor games. Yoga Camps for Boys and Girls are also organized on our campus. Sports help in building the values of leadership and team spirit among the students.

The College has a modern kitchen with separate dining halls for staff and students spread over an area of 3900 sq.m. Wholesome and hygienic food is provided at a nominal cost. R.O. water for drinking and cooking and treated filtered water for all other purposes.

The college has well-equipped international standard Gyms separately for men/women students and staff in an area of 3000 sq. ft with the latest equipment in the well laid out in-door Gym units. The Vidya Bharati Mahavidyalaya, Amravati offers 10 courses at the undergraduate level and 11 courses at the postgraduate level. The duration of the undergraduate courses is 3 years and the duration of postgraduate programs is 2 years. Apart from these regular courses, the institution also provides certificate courses.
