MVJ College of Engineering is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the AICTE, and UGC. It is accredited by the NBA and NAAC. MVJCE was established as a private college in 1982 and is ranked 67 for BTech by The Week 2021. The college has five schools of study namely the School of Computer Science, School of Electrical Science, School of Mechanical Science, Basic Science, and School of Business. AICTE-All India Council for Technical Education
The college offers B.E. program in seven disciplines. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent examination) with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and any one among Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/CS/Electronics as the optional subject. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in aggregate (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).
Selection is based on JEE Main, KCET or COMEDK UGET. Candidates must have appeared in at least one of these entrance examinations for getting admission in the college. Admission will be through counselling based on the rank candidates have secured in any of the three entrance examinations.
Sapthagiri College of Engineering offers M.Tech in CSE and VLSI Design and Embedded Systems (ECE). Admission to M.Tech programs is based on state level Karnataka PGCET examination followed by state level counselling. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).

The College College hostel can accommodate 270 boys. A hostel is a place where a student looks forward to being after a hard day at college. have been trying to make the hostel the next best place to be after home. The hostel management comprises experienced persons who strive to provide the best atmosphere for the students. The warden has been trained to manage the hostel and also to handle any issues that may arise in normal functioning. The adequate and well-trained maintenance staff take care to see that the hostel is maintained to the highest of standards.

The College campus has a healthcare facility for students and staff. It is open all weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm. Staff and students of SCE can avail of treatment here.

The college has a library facility for all students. SCE Library and Information Centre occupies a place of pride on SCE Campus and is an essential component of the College's outstanding research and education mission. It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promotes discovery and scholarship. The mission of the Library and Information Centre is to facilitate the creation of new knowledge through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge resources and by providing value-added services. The Library and Information Centre spans a total area of 724 sq.m combining aesthetics with utility, Library and Information Centre houses about 30000 books. The Library also subscribed to online e-resources through VTU Consortium, DELNET database, NDL Membership, and E-shodhisindhu membership.
Sports
The college has a sports room/gymnasium, outdoor courts for basketball and football, and nets for cricket.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a good cafeteria serving Hygienic food and beverages. The cafeteria is easily accessible from the academic blocks.

The College has an Alumni Association is a platform, which connects all the alumni (SCE has successfully rolled out 8 batches of engineers), who are now entrepreneurs, managers, world-class engineers, and educationists themselves. The SCEAA aims to bridge the institution and the alumni by organizing regular meets and encouraging alumni to contribute to the growth of the institute. SCEAA is striving hard to develop the strategic plan in line with the vision of the Institute for the next 10 years to add value to the quality technical training that is being currently imparted to the students.

Students who are in the 6th sem without any backlog with a minimum cgpa of 7 and above are eligible for placement. The highest package as of now is 11lpa and the average package is 3lpa. Companies like Infosys Slk Wipro are been recruiting students from the college. Almost of about 90% of people are being placed by college.All the eligibility students will be placed in our college We get companies from Japan such as zenken In Bangalore, we get from tcs cognizant etc The highest package is around 28 lakh and the average package is 3 lakh.We didn't get any interviews, only Infosys came to college when we are doing MTech. 6th sem students will be eligble for engineering all branches and for MTech 3 Rd sem students are eligible for placements.Placement orientation starts during 5th sem and goes on till the 6th sem From the 7th sem onwards placement grind starts and you will be placed if you have a decent cgpa and basic skillset. The highest package was around 9 9.5 lac and the lowest is 3.25 Almost all students from the tech branch get placed.All students get eligible for the placements in the 7th semester. There are many companies like Infosys, Mphasis sonata SanDisk, hcl, Mindtree and other companies. the highest placement done in the previous year was 2100000 per annum in EEE but usually, it remains in a range of 600000 per annum. near about all from cse ise and IT and from other departments, it may be in a ratio of 70:100. my plans after getting a degree are to get a well paid job and also making my own projects in the market.
