Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is made available in the library by which students can view the contents of the book on the screen and select and register the book of their choice.The College has a tie-up with British Council Library and American Council Library, Salem, which act as a supporting tool to access latest books.DELNET facility is provided in the library by which the students can gain access to books, journals, magazines, in libraries in any parts of the country.LIPSNET software is installed, which contains the details of all the students and staff members for security purpose.We have installed E-Gate facility in the library from the academic year 20024.Library is equipped with modern photo copier machine.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Hi-tech digitalized classrooms with CCTVs, public address system, LCD projectors, smart boards etc.A modernized AV Theatre with a seating capacity of 500 students and LCD TV from the entry level to exit level to organize various educational programmes and conferences.Two exclusive seminar cum examination halls with a seating capacity of 100.Machine is provided for preparing ID cards for the employees of the institution and biometric machine to check the attendance of the employees.E Studio copier machine and modern photocopier machines are installed in a separate room to take printouts and photocopies of documents.Solar Renewable Energy lamps have been installed.Lightning arrestor is installed.HT power supply unit is provided to supply 3 phase power for the entire campus.20Kva Generator is also available inside the campus in case of power failure.A waste water treatment plant and rain water harvesting systems are installed to recycle water which is further used for maintaining the garden of the college.

TRANSPORT

Transport facility is shared with the sister concern Jairam Arts and Science College of arts & science.Buses are plying for both boys and girls from Attur, Dharmapuri, Harur, Omalur, and Pappirettipatti to Salem for the benefit of the remote area students.Each bus is equipped with mobile phone, first aid box and fire extinguisher.

LABORATORY

The learning process is incomplete without adequate hands on experience. Our laboratories provide the opportunity to students to get this experience. The labs are fully staffed and are handled by trained professionals. Quality of the apparatus and computer systems is of the highest providing our students with an exposure to the latest equipment. Routine checks are made to ensure that the quality maintenance is ensured. Our computer laboratories use the latest original software and we take pride in saying that our system of laboratory management is hassle free. The Placement Cell was formed in the year 2006-2007 and it functions effectively under the Chairmanship of the Principal and two teachers with the main Objectives to establish linkage between the Institutions and various Schools in and around Salem. To encourage the students to participate in campus interviews and to facilitate the students to be placed in the reputed institutions., the cell informs the various schools in and around Salem about the Provision for conducting placement interviews in the college, gives information to the students about the available vacancies, make proper arrangements of campus interviews, forwards the application of students teachers to the placement centers on their request.Letters sent to various private schools in and around Salem Interviews are being conducted at our campus. Most of our B.Ed trained candidates got the jobs through the TRB exams conducted by Govt of Tamilnadu. 16 Students from our college have cleared the exams and are now working in Govt schools and as Jairam Arts and Science College . in Jairam Arts and Science College scheme.
