St Gregorios College of Nursing, one of the pioneers in Nursing Education, is owned by Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The institution is located in the holy land of Parumala, besides the scenic distributary of Pampa River. The college is accessible by road and rail.The inception of Nursing Education at Parumala started with the school of nursing in 1985. St. Gregorios charitable society took the venture to start B.Sc Nursing program in 2003 which has bloomed as one of the renowned private self-financing nursing colleges in Kerala.

The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council & Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.The first batch of B.Sc Nursing commenced on 28th January 2004 with an annual intake of 50. With the intention to train graduates in the specialized areas, the Post graduate program in 3 specialties was started in the year 2011 with an intake of 15. Presently the college offers B.Sc nursing program with an intake of 60 students.

Admission Process for St. Gregorious College of Nursing

Selection of B.Sc Nursing students is done on the basis of the merit list prepared by AMCSFNCK as per the percentage of marks obtained in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or equivalent science subjects) in the qualifying examination.

A cost efficient and secure 400 bedded residential facility, adjacent to the college offer warm and friendly ambience to the female students of the institution.The employees and students of the institution avail hostel facilities which feature private shared rooms with basic amenities like adequate dining facilities, water cooler, common study hall, music system, prayer room, Facilities for indoor and outdoor game, visitors’ room and other recreational facilities too. This peaceful and congenial atmosphere aids the students, to excel in studies and mould their personality.

The latest edition books, International and National Journals, e-journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers in the library, act as a boon to the learning environment.

AUDITORIUM

The 700 seated auditorium is used for conducting examinations, Curricular and Co-curricular

activities.
