Seshasayee Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, a pioneering Technical establishment occupying a distinctive position within the field of technical education in our country, is that the outcome of the good vision, hyperopia and financial aid of our illustrious founder Thiru. V. Seshasayee World Health Organization was a veteran businessman and designer of assorted industrial ventures. He realized the necessity for additional engineers and technicians for speedy manufacture of our country and started this Technical establishment within the year 1952 with the purse bestowed to him by his friends and well-wishers on the occasion of his 61st birthday. This technical establishment was formally declared open on twenty-eighth Jan 1952. It created a humble starting by conducting A.M.I.E classes. several Arts and Science Graduates availed this chance to become engineers.
