Why St. Ann's College of Education (Autonomous)?

St. Ann's College of Education is a Catholic minority Institution overseen by the Congregation of the Sisters of St.Ann whose Generalate is in Rome. It is associated to the Osmania University and gets award in-help from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

The Sisters of St.Ann work in different pieces of the world in Italy, India, USA, Mexico, Philippiness, Cameron, Brazil and Peru. It offers its administrations in Educational Institutes, in clinics, dispensaries, homes for the matured, penniless and incapacitated, in social and specialized foundations, in areas, shelters and boarding homes. 

This school was established in 1966 as the primary supported school solely for ladies in the Telanga region. It started in an unassuming manner being housed in rooms rented from St.Ann's School. With awards from the Dutch Foundation, CEBEMO and commitment from the administration a huge open and all around structured two story roundabout structure was developed in 1976. It has enormous study halls, an understudy focus, a library and a perusing room, two huge labs for natural and physical sciences and a littler one for brain research, a PC lab, a work experience room, an instructive innovation room, an eating lobby just as a supplication room notwithstanding the managerial square comprising of the Principal's room, office, parlor, visitor room and staff room. The late Dr.Sr.Marie Antoinette (1966 – 73) author Principal of the school assumed a key job in the foundation and improvement of the Institution. 

Rev.Sr.Pia prevailing as Principal after Dr.Sr.Marie Antoinette for a period from 1975 to 1981. Sister attempted to intertwine otherworldliness with Science. 

Rev.Sr.Sylvia D'souza was Principal from 1981 to 1995. Sr.Sylvia a powerful Principal acquired changes showing learning process through courses, workshops, displays and other community oriented strategies.
